Si bien estos modelos han demostrado ser \u00fatiles a nivel poblacional, a menudo carecen de precisi\u00f3n cuando se aplican a pacientes individuales, en particular a aquellos con perfiles de factores de riesgo aparentemente \u201cnormales\u201d que, sin embargo, albergan una enfermedad subcl\u00ednica significativa (4).<\/p>\n<p>La aterosclerosis es una enfermedad inflamatoria cr\u00f3nica de la pared arterial, m\u00e1s que un trastorno definido \u00fanicamente por la obstrucci\u00f3n luminal.
