About Peter Megdal, PhD

Heart disease and Type II diabetes have significantly affected members of my family. Those experiences shaped my long-standing interest in health, lifestyle, and scientific research.

I have been a competitive cyclist for more than 40 years. My interest in athletic performance led me to study nutrition and exercise physiology more deeply. Over time, that interest developed into formal academic training, and I earned a PhD in nutrition from the University of Massachusetts, where I published peer-reviewed research.

In my mid-50s, I was diagnosed with coronary artery disease and received conventional medical care, including physician-directed treatment and ongoing monitoring. Following that experience, I continued studying scientific literature related to cardiovascular health and discussed various medical and lifestyle considerations with healthcare professionals.

As part of my personal approach to overall wellness, I made dietary and lifestyle adjustments and continue to follow a structured training program. I remain under medical supervision and continue appropriate treatment as recommended by my physicians.

My experience reflects my individual circumstances, medical history, and professional background. It should not be interpreted as evidence that any specific diet, lifestyle practice, or program will produce similar outcomes for others.
